The step up that catches people
Undergraduate nursing writing stops rewarding correct recall somewhere in the middle of the degree and starts rewarding appraisal. Whether the evidence is any good. What the population figures actually say once you look at the denominator. Why one intervention was chosen over another and what would have changed the answer. The writing has to argue, and it has to argue inside a scoring table where one thin criterion pulls the whole grade down with it.
None of that is a knowledge gap. It is a register gap, and it is the reason competent nurses lose points on paper for work they would do correctly on a ward.
The C that has to be there
ASU marks on a scale that runs A plus down to E, with no C minus and no D plus anywhere on it, and E rather than F as the failing letter. In nursing courses a minimum grade of C is what carries you into the next class. Because the scale has no half step underneath it, there is nothing to land on between a C and a D, and a D does not move you forward in the sequence.
That is why triage by feel is dangerous here. A module that looks small can be the difference between progressing and repeating a course on a later session, and a whole course order exists precisely so nothing gets quietly written off.
What a BSN order covers
- Scholarly written assignments scored on a criterion table, in APA.
- Module discussion weeks including the peer replies, priced as a week.
- Care plans, documentation pieces and completed grids where the format is graded.
- Presentation tasks with notes written to be spoken rather than read off the slide.
- Capstone phases staged across the session instead of assembled at the end, as in NUR 464.
Start from a shelf if it is easier: NUR 318, NUR 391, NUR 392, NUR 440, NUR 444, NUR 445, NUR 460, NUR 495.
Where the boundary sits
Clinical hours, skills checks, placement paperwork and anything filed with Edson College stay entirely yours, and so does every proctored exam. No credential is requested, no classroom is opened from this side, and no file is uploaded for you. What moves is the writing, delivered to your inbox for you to submit.
If you are completing the degree as a working RN, the RN to BSN page covers that route specifically. Otherwise send a course through the request form and a flat figure comes back before anything is written.

Questions students ask first
Why does my transcript threaten an E rather than an F?
Because that is simply how ASU letters the failing grade. The scale runs A plus through E, with no C minus and no D plus on it, so the gap between passing a nursing course and repeating it is narrower than students expect.
Is a D enough to keep moving through the nursing sequence?
No. Nursing courses require a minimum grade of C to progress, which is why the modules worth a handful of points still matter by the end of a session.
My session has one nursing course and one elective in it.
Send both. They are quoted together, written by different writers where the subjects call for it, and scheduled so the two sets of deadlines do not land on the same evening.
Where do clinical placements sit in all this?
Entirely outside the order. Sites, hours, preceptors and every form attached to them are yours, and the desk writes the coursework that surrounds them.
I am repeating a course I did not pass first time.
Common, and useful to say at intake. Send the feedback you received before, and the writing is built specifically against the criteria that cost you the grade rather than starting from a blank rubric.
